Dial M is a designer representation agency focused on brand development, marketing, and merchandising. Established in 1990 by marketing and women’s apparel expert Margaret Chevedden, the showroom represents fashion that is contemporaryof the moment, and beyond the trend.

Strategically partnering with the finest specialty boutiques, chains, and catalogs throughout the country, andwith a steady “finger on the pulse” of current trends as well as a deep understanding and appreciation of timeless, classic design, Dial M specializes in the recognition of vibrant new labels and emerging design talent.

Margaret Chevedden began her career in retail fashion in 1980 working and learning all aspects of the buying, store management, and sales side of the business through multiple roles at Robinsons Department Stores.  In 1985, Margaret transitioned to the wholesale side of the business to begin her more than 30 years of experience working with, and helping to develop brands including names such as Nicole Miller, Barney’s All American Sportswear Company and Equipment.

In 1990, Margaret opened her own showroom, Dial M, to provide a place for buyers and brands to connect in a peaceful and calm environment that truly showcases and features each individual designer.  Margaret’s philosophy for her showroom focuses on developing long term relationships with buyers and designers and helping each respectively grow their businesses in a way that develops trust between the showroom, the brands it features, and buyers.

As a Mom, Wife, and Business owner, Margaret seeks out and features brands that fit with her busy lifestyle and that of so many women who need pieces that can transition throughout the day, from work to a gallery opening, from brunch to afternoon music in the park and every event in between.  With a focus on understanding current trends and connecting with what women want and need in their wardrobe, Margaret is able to provide informative and well researched advice to her buyers and brands.

In her free time, Margaret loves to spend time with her family, travel, see live music, visit galleries and museums and finds inspiration in each of her activities to help drive her and her clients businesses forward.
